  1. Just a thought…”bags exist”.

From a practical matter, it all looks secure, so meh. If it’s dumb but it works, is it dumb? But throwing everything in a grocery bag or reusable bag is cheap insurance. Way easier to bungee a bag to your rack than bungee each individual item.

But the key thing is, as long as it works it works. Good job, enjoy the ride.

  2. Bought my trek fx back in December as a car replacement and slowly upgrading and shaking it down. After trial and error of finding a compatible bike rack, I ended up just going with the jack the bike rack.

First trip to target to pick up some sparkling water and a sweet treat.

Some issues I’ve noticed right off the bat.

    1. It’s iffy loading it with my side kickstand and it swerve to the side. Any recommendations? Even standing over the bike made it kinda annoying, I wish I could get those mid center kickstands cargo bikes have.

    2. I’m not a big fan of the straps, a big thing with making this a car replacement is making it as convenient as I can, I’ve done this in other ways like installing a quad Lock vs 2 hand op phone holder and a collapsible lock vs a loud and finicky chain lock. Any recommendations for quick straps? I spent a good minute in front of everyone struggling to load this.

    3. While loaded, hell even with the rack installed the cockpit feels very cramped, any light recommendations that can attach to the rack like I’ve seen on other builds? I’ve also noticed while loaded, it blocks a bit of light
