I was trying to change the shift cable, but it wouldn't come out, so I took apart the shifter. Now I have the new cable in but cannot for the life of me figure out how the shifter goes back together. Downshifting still works, but I cannot figure out how to get the piece pictured to catch the right part of the mechanism to make upshifting actually work. Any tips? This is a Sunrace M5.

Dude… that’s unlucky, I don’t know exactly how to put that back together, but if all else fails, a new shifter should be less than 20$.
