My brakes are very weak and the only thing I can find about fixing these is to tighten the 10mm bolt, which I did but that didn't even do that much and it keeps losing the brake power it gains from any of these "fixes", also if I need to buy new parts or something I have NO CLUE how to disassemble this so I really need help…

Undo nut
Hold cable
Find a way to push the silver arm toward the spring(not too much) and hold it. Tighten nut back enough that the cable doesn’t slip. Test. Repeat until satisfied.
It looks like the metal bracket came off. Need to put that back where it belongs
