Get some shadow shin pads if you’re going to choose pedals with pins.

Do you ride dirt regularly? Otherwise, flat composite pedals are great for all-around riding.

I don’t see a reputable brand in these pics

eadtern was great 10 years ago but they got sold and they ain’t the same. Never heard of the other. Metal pedals or pedals with metal pins are strictly for dirt riding, you won’t get much out of them anywhere else but risk your shins. Either get normal flats or get a shinguard if you do dirt.

Them eastern are probably fine if one has sealed bearings it will probably be better. Metal pins are for all around riding and always have the best grip and are trusty I ride without pads all the time. Alienation foothold are this style and are 100% well made pedals

If you need metal pins, there is Odyssey with gold pins. If you don’t do dirt normally metal pins not required. I use eclat centric and they hold up fine. Odyssey, Eclat are great would say.
These are the metal ones I use for DJ. U will need shin guards!

They are both probably just ok. Theory is a brand in the family of Merritt and Rixin but focusing on big wheel bikes. IMO Eastern is a dead brand and I wouldn’t bother with their new stuff.
