Wondering if we should be worried about anything in particular before considering this for my partner. Should fit her fine and the lightweight would be ideal. I’m just nervous about age and safety and can’t seem to find much about these anywhere. The titanium carbon mix is foreign to me. Feels like a great deal? TIA!

  1. The bars scream “I know nothing about bikes” and the chain looks like it’s mostly rust. I’d be worried about how many other issues there might be

  2. It is quite old, early to mid-2000s. Moldy seat, rusted, chain. I wouldn’t touch this bike for anything near $500. Between the painted frame and the carbon insert in the seat stays, the paint and possibly dated rear wheel spacing this will never be a valuable Ti frame. If the seat post moves maybe $50, there is a lot of work and cost in removing, replacing and restoring parts.

I don’t think it’s titanium, litespeed made aluminum bikes too. This clearly has a carbon chainstay, which if you look really closely I’ll bet you’ll find issues.

This looks like somebody’s stolen DUI bike, if I bought it, no more than idk $200 and I would immediately strip it down and sell everything on eBay.

Also, wtf is with those pedals?

  4. Thanks all. It is a pretty old woman who’s selling it hence the condition. I was worried that the frame and components wouldn’t be worth the updates. I’m steering clear.
