I’m planning on upgrading the rims on my carbon road bike, I’m running 32mm gp5000 tires and not planning to change that. The rims I have now are original from the factory 30mm alloys and I’m thinking something in the 55 to 60mm range of carbon wheels would fit nicely. Should I get some second hand Dura‑Ace R9170 C60 discs or some new elite wheels Ent 2.0 55mm from Ali express. For reference both are close in price around €450 including shipping. Thanks in advance!

  1. Dura ace is pretty bling. If there is nothing majorly wrong with them, I’d probably choose those.

  2. As long as youre not going to get the ones in the photo as those are tubular wheels, the dura ace wheels are really nice. Will have reasonably easy service parts to get hold of.

The chinese wheels are good and designed around a 32mm tyre so will probably feel more stable to ride.
