I don’t think the FX ever came with suspension forks like that, this is probably mislabeled. Some sort of early 2000s mountain bike. For commuting or mostly paved riding the fork won’t be any benefit to you, it’s just a extra weight to carry around and judging by the state of the bike it’s quite probably broken anyway. Or at least in need of a severe service.
