I bought this Landshark tandem from MonkeyWrench and found out that this bike was made for John’s brother and his wife and that John’s brother painted it.
It’s a 21/19 and has the weird feature of split rear brakes. I heard this was made as a marriage saver to give the wife a little control too.
Full fillet brazing and crazy paint with 28 skulls. 1-1/4” headtube and 100/135 spacing. Full XT m732 with Phil wheels and rare Bullseye tandem cranks.
Anyway, my wife has zero interest in riding, so I’m going to make it my new touring bike.
I’ve removed the stoker handlebar and went with a Problem Solvers cable splitter so I can control both rear brakes. Added the rack and want to have a frame bag built that will fit in the stokers frame area.
I’m having difficulty finding a good bag maker.

Wait, are you going to ride that as a single? Wife and I have a tandem we tour on. I can barely control the bike when my stoker is not back there. It’s way squirrely trying to ride it without a stoker.
I’ve always loved the stories of people touring alone on tandems and all the hop-ons they get, from kids going a block to travelers going for days. I personally would leave the stoker seat usable.
