Just purchased this new Hope Pro5 100mmCL front hub and the non-drive side appears to be missing a dust cover or at least I wasn't expecting to see the bearing right under where I'll install the rotor's lock-ring. Is this normal/okay? Thanks for any advise!

Doesn’t look like there is one for this hub
The centerlock Pro 5s have no outer seal “for speed”, with the XC crowd as the target market. The 6 bolt version has seals on the end caps. It seems like an unnecessary compromise, since plenty of fast off road hubs have labarynth seals that work just fine without high drag.
I have the same hub on one of my bikes. That zone is completely covered by the center lock brake disc so there’s no need for a cap. So just install the disc you will see it’s ok. Actually it’s covered by the nut that secures the disc not by the disc itself.
I see new and hope next to each other and immediately think it’s a Star wars post
