It’s nothing fancy, but it’s probably reliable. It’s also single speed, so not much on it that’s gonna need regular service

Yes, but you might want something with gears.

One speed might be fine if you live in a pretty flat area.

Fairly narrow wheels, so not a great ride. Brakes are extra low end.

It has good bones, and you can easily add racks and lights. But it is single speed. How long is your commute or what will your typical trips look like? If its not too hilly you should be fine, however one thing about riding a bike is you will soon identify every small little hill around you fairy quickly!

its a 90s steel mtb id probably put mtb xc tires on it over the road tires. I would probably put a 1x setup back on it.

That bike has a lot of years on it. Suspect ALL the bearings. Wheel hubs, bottom bracket, headset. If you can do the work yourself, servicing hubs and bottom bracket is pretty cheap. If you have to have a shop do it….

This is a steal and with upgrades like thicker tires and better brakes this bike will go a long way.

The bullmoose bars alone are worth the $35 bucks if you don’t like it.

I would only buy it if commute road is clean and easy with little to no slope
