Hi there, i bought my first ever road bike yesterday and the rear left hand side brake is rubbing whereas the right side has got a lot of clearance from the wheel.

Hi there, i bought my first ever road bike yesterday and the rear left hand side brake is rubbing whereas the right side has got a lot of clearance from the wheel.

There’s a small grub screw you can usually see from the top or side of the caliper, adjusting that will move the caliper to the left or the right. You may also want to check that the bolt connecting the caliper to the frame is tight and not just allowing the whole caliper to pivot while in use.
