It’s my dads old roadie and I just can’t seem to get comfortably setup with the bars and shifters. Anyone have ideas on converting to flat bar or am I out of luck with the geometry? My goal would be to swap the cassette for a 1x setup and grip shifter if I can keep it old school fun again.

Edit: 5000 also have an adjustable stem riser for the flat bar idea…
