It depends on which bands or songs you are referring to. Unlike regular Rock, Metal has a negative influence, ranging from wild instincts and dark content to purely Satanic themes (there are bands that are 100% Satanic). Personally, I find the 'screaming' mostly grating… it sounds psychopathic, but over time, people have come to consider it normal.
