Mid to late 80s Italian frame – Iride Special. Columbus SL frame with full Campagnolo Super Record, 6-speed Regina freewheel, and Nisi tubular rims. All the chrome was full of rust spots and the paint was dull. I hand polished the frame (paint corrected – compound, polished, sealed, wax), polished downtube shifters and seat post, and removed all of the rust. All new bearings, grease, Silca waxed chain, cables, cable housing, bar tape, and new tubulars

Does anybody else own an Iride?
That is a gorgeous bike. Top notch restoration. But dear Lord look at the size of that Regina freehub and those chainrings. It hurts just thinking about climbing using those gear ratios.
What a beautiful bike. And what a gorgeous resto. Nicely done.
Beatufitul resto! The paint came out amazing!
Sexy. What method did you use on the chrome? I’m about to restore a 1973 Peugeot
Sick whip!
