I was looking at the USFS interactive map last night and had a question. It seems that in National Forests, most trails can be used for bikes. I always assumed that this was not true. Attached is a screen shot from the Eagles Nest Wilderness of the White River National Forest near Dillon CO showing trails highlighted in yellow which according to the legend on the side are open for bikes.

Am I off here?

Thanks.

If it’s designated wilderness then bikes are not allowed no matter what the website says. If the trail is not actually in the wilderness area then bikes might be allowed.
