Hey everyone, I picked up this TCR Advanced SL for a few hundred a couple years ago, and am training for my first sprint tri in a few months. Dropping a video and looking for experienced eyes on my position. Feedback on stem length, handlebar height, saddle height, reach, or anything else that looks off is appreciated. TIA!

  1. Saddle down and forward. Height is incredible atm. Wouldnt be surprised if you had to drop it 5-6 cms.

  2. Big-o-saggysac on

Something to note: lowering your saddle will also bring it forward, so lower it first, not both at the same time.
I would say at least down 10mm, which will help with your overextension, I’d bring the saddle back a few mm’s to make sure you aren’t too “over” the downward stroke of the pedals (to far over won’t engage your glutes correctly)

Lowering your saddle will also help you relax your arms with a natural bend. They look painfully locked into place.

The hardest part of all this will be retraining your muscle in the correct position, so everything is going to feel weird until you get used to the correct position.

Edit: honestly bring your saddle at least an inch down. And watch some fitting vids on YouTube. I’d highly recommend not riding until you go lower on the saddle
