Hey! I own this Yellow Decathlon “Elops 500” which serves me quite well in commuting. I am also a student with a smaller budget, so when my friends and I planned a bikepacking trip to the Netherlands from Germany for the summer I decided I will make it with this fun companion. My only problem is, that it doesn’t have a rack and no obvious way to attach one.
If any of you have any ideas on how to make some room on this bike for a 5-7 day trip/ any inspo, I would be very thankful!
(If everything doesn’t work out, I’ll go with a big ass backpack and suffer the consequences✨)
Ps: Bonus picture of my bike in the wild with a friend on the second slide.

I think it’s possible but you might have to get creative. I did my first bike trip with a single speed bike with no dedicated rack mounts as well. I had an old rack from a different bike that attached to the axle of the rear wheel and the brake bridge.
Ive used a [ – shaped piece of Metal and drilled one hole in each of the short ends to attach to the Racket and one dead centre to attach IT with the Break screw.
Front rack is possible, but might not be ideal for a bikepacking trip. I’m not well known in racks at the back, so I don’t know for sure if that’s possible.
You can also think of a combination of frame bags, a saddle bag and a backpack.
There are options without any racks, especially in combination with a (as light as possible) backpack.
Of course everything comes with a price, and is quickly becoming expensive compared to a EUR 300 bike 🙂
Tail-bag clamps to your seat/seatpost – Ortlieb/apidura – price around EUR 100-150
Full frame or half frame bag – Make it yourself for cheap and learn a new skill, or get one around EUR 100
Handlebar bag (or strap any waterproof bag on there) – between 25 and 150 euro
If I were to choose on a budget, search marketplaces for a tailbag, get some fabric (or an IKEA bag) and search MYOG for inspiration on making your own, and get some straps to strap anything (tent, sleeping pad) to your handlebars. Then get a small backpack with water bladder.
Did bikepacking in Netherlands 2 years ago with that exact bike (riding fixed gear tho)
Here is a pic for some inspiration:

Custom frame bag, AGU saddle bag, front rack is pelago medium, enough 6 days trip!
Whatever you do, don’t go for the big-ass backpack! You will regret it. Looks like there are some good ideas in this thread. Have fun !
The condor front rack fits really nicely on an Elops

what bike is that?..
This is my elops with Manivelle front rack and Carradice saddle bag. I also add a Restrap medium frame bag. This is enough for solo bikepacking.
Edit : I cant post picture dont know why
