sorry i dont know the terms. ive got kids and my kids have friends and all their bikes have the same problem. the wheels go sideways and the nuts are not in the proper place. i try basic guides and when i align the back wheels and retighten the nuts, they inevitably slip again. this keeps happening. i feel like im tightening them to the point just before it slows the wheel with friction. i once saw a device that provides a spacer for the nuts so they cant lose their place but ive asked about it and havent found it. why am i failing at realiging the back wheel and tightening the nuts?

The frame is bent, I can see it in the pic.

If it’s steel, it can be bent back using string as reference guides. If it’s aluminum, you’re sol.

Multiple kids, multiple bikes, all with the same problem?

What are they all doing to break these bikes? You’ve not got a nut torque spec problem, you have a kid problem.

  3. Can you share a picture looking at the bike from the left and right side? Might be helpful in diagnosing the issue
