Found this oldie today right down the street from my parents! I passed by in my Prius and looked at it quickly and said sweet! I’m taking this thing! I didn’t have my bike holder on my car, so I went up the street and borrowed my dads truck. I got back and some dude in a tesla was stopped by it looking at it. I was like noooooo! Luckily he pulled away and I snatched it right up.

There was nobody home when I rang the doorbell, but about ten min later when I left my parents, there was a car in the driveway. I rang the doorbell and somebody on the ring doorbell answered. I said I wanted to make sure I didn’t just steal their bike lol. She said nope, if it was the one by the nightstand, her mom put it out there for the garbage truck.

It seems to be in great condition! I didn’t get to give it a test ride yet. The tires are low and I’m in a rush to get sleep before tonight’s shift at work.

Pretty much either gonna clean it up and toss it up for sale once it gets a bit warmer out orrrr give it to my fiancée who’s currently got a Cannondale Adventure if she likes this thing more. I’m kinda hoping she does like this more! 🤞

Anybody know what the black bar going across the handlebars is supposed to be? It reminds me of a strut tower brace for cars lol. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that.

  1. The cross brace was from mountain bikes copying dirt bikes. Supposedly to keep your handlebar from bending while doing x-treme jumps.

  2. That’s… a good find. And an odd bike.

Looks like way-fancier-than-normal v-brakes got installed at some point? XT, maybe? And that cross brace on the handlebar is an odd choice for that bike, too.

    Still! A good find!
