let’s go, new hobby incoming. got this off of marketplace together with a trek 930, american eagle and two scruffy giants for €175. unfortunately it is too big for me so will be doing some repairs and then selling it. probably should change the front blade, saddle, grips, pedals and seat clamp, as the saddle keeps tilting forward slowly while riding even when completely tightened. maybe also changing the grip shifter to a thumb shifter. I am not looking to make money off of it, just want to get some bike mechanic experience, but a colleague already expressed interest and asked me how much I want for it when revamped… what would be a good price, when working with the cheapest okay-ish parts? located in amsterdam 💣

If it’s a friend, I’d probably just charge them for the new parts plus a few beers, telling them they can bring it back to you if something goes wrong which is likely if it’s your first experience with bike wrenching
Good luck have fun!
That said this doesn’t look like it needs much work! In my experience most non-bike-nerd people appreciate an upright cruiser-y bar and a comfy seat more than anything else
