Hi all, just recently grabbed this early 2000s Kona Dr Dew as a Dad bike. Would love to improve the vibe a bit. Any suggestions on improvements?
At the moment I’m thinking BMX/moto bars, swap out the brown seat for black and run some gum wall tires.

I hate steel forks on alu bikes. It just looks kinda weird, when the fork is so much thinner than the frame. Was the bike released with that setup?
I like it as it is, but what you say sounds nice as well. I also love the look of steel fork with a more massive frame, and it makes functional sense. Cannondale Cruise control are light and inexpensive motobars.
I feel a solid double kickstand makes the use of the rear seat much more calm and less frustrating experience. But it’s tricky to install on an alloy frame. At least some bungee loops over the brake levers as a handbrake would make a huge difference…
