  1. What wheels on the Bianchi? They look like some older proprietary hubs and spokes. Might be difficult to maintain.

  2. If you want something speed but only dry and light rain rides go bianchi.

If you something that’s does it all the trek.

I personally think trek deal is better. Both have great potential to upgrade greatly. But the trek has more potential with modern parts.

Although been off the bicycle scene for awhile so maybe there has been more options out there for both

  3. They’re asking too much for the Bianchi, but the Trek is a decent deal. I rode a very similar bike (it’s technically a cyclocross bike, not a road bike, but that honestly makes it cooler IMO) from Felt for several years. It’s great for both paved and unpaved roads, and looks to be in good condition.

I’d offer $275 on the Trek, but would honestly pay more.

Edit to add: all of that’s assuming your 6’2”-6’4”

  4. I don’t have any comment on these but I checked with r/whichbike before I bought my first second hand bike with their advice

  5. Hard to say with this information, trek didn’t post specs, posted a photo of the bike drive side away, has an odd saddle tilt, and mtb tires on his road bike which doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Bianchi is kinda Bitchin with that Celeste seat, the 105 is a solid groupset although that one is quite dated. I would inquire if it has any proprietary parts, but I like the bianchi. I’d probably try and talk him down though
