id have let him get away with the gobbing off but the touching and then the throwing of the bike would have had me fighting. Guy fully deserved some slaps there.
The moment he dropped his hands you should've decked him. Clearly, he's insane, but that only means he's unpredictable and dangerous. Second time, as he's walking up to you it was time to close the gap with a front kick to the chest. Third time, after you grappled and faced off on the bridge was time for the hardest kick to the leg you could manage.
I'm not being an armchair warrior here. I get it, you shouldn't beat up on weaker crazy people. But your lack of situational awareness was inexcusable. You're in the woods, in the middle of nowhere, in a confined space on a bridge, he's already attacked you, and he's outnumbered 3:1. You should've fought back.
