  1. I would offer the blue book value of $750 and see what he says. that thing is rather old and supply has far outpaced demand in the mountain bike world.

    I have one of these. It’s a very capable bike for its age. It warms my heart when I pass nicer bikes while riding down black diamond trails.

  3. Depends on the condition of the expensive bits. Primarily suspension and wheels. Im not the guy that spends thousands on drive trains and brakes. Average stuff is fine, but nice wheels and new or fully serviced suspension will be the most noticeable features IMO
