Was adding read rack to my brompton when I noticed indentation around where the conical washer goes, I emailed brompton support these photos and they said it looks like normal paint wear and to not worry about it, but I think it looks deeper then that like it’s been over torqued.

Just looks like the anodizing has been scratched off…
Once upon a time—or maybe not—if two metal objects touch, a scratch will happen. The end.
What do you expect the bike shop to do that you can’t do yourself?
Absolutely nothing to worry about here. Just been a bit too tight. It’s a steel frame you ain’t breaking it
The things some people get worried about. 🤦 if you go to a bike shop and show them this just expect them to take you for a expensive ride.
