What a sprint at the Clasica de Almeria! 💥 With a super-strong sprinters’ field, including Arnaud de Lie, Biniam Girmay, Milan Fretin, and of course our Dylan Groenewegen, the sprint finale was intense!

Dylan shot like a torpedo in the last meters to take 4th. It wasn’t a podium finish, but Dylan’s form is looking ridiculously sharp. ⚡

  1. 3rd, us fans of you guys will take it! Good race guys all around. The TDF still messed up leaving you out of 26 TDF! Go and make them regret it! Bring the Noise! and Kill them all!

  2. It was actually very good. Last 2k they were with 3 at the front behind Lotto who were too early. Just after that it was a bit chaotic. Still only one team could really do a late leadout out of all the teams. Only NSN. One more guy for next time. But in this crashing chaotic last 10k with a nervous and fresh peloton, being in the front, it's already quite good. As the dutch would say: only the dots on the i and we have a victory!

  3. Oh man… Bummer!! I feel if Dylan had a little more help in the final, he would have won that sprint!!! He certainly had an amazing sprint.. from so far back!! Chapeaux guys!! That big one is coming!!

  4. For a first time coach, Marcel seems to really good and learning quickly (even from the first videos when he wasn't as confident with radio communicating in the car). But that ending talk seemed to strike the right balance of shared disappointment, hope, pride, and reminder of the bigger picture ("this is middle of February").

  5. From place to 20 to 4th in seconds – I mean what was the most impressive sprint? and what was the difference between place 2,3,4? Nothing. Dylan had an amazing speed. The problem was not the sprint – but the position to start from – but that position was provided to Dylan also by bad luck and many random factors – so keep also focused on what did go well – and I can tell that that speed did go very well. Keep on learning, improving and tinkering! Here for the journey.

  6. Agree with Marcel; please keep up the morale! You guys look and are so competitive. The rest is fixable. The other way round would not (smart tactics but not being able to). Heads up!

  7. Ik ben al blij dat jullie heelhuids over de finish kwamen! Al die valpartijen en je wilt echt niet de komende weken alleen maar bezig zijn met herstellen..

  8. Rockets still on 15th place in the UCI ranking. Of cource LIDL, Visma or Alpecin will score massive points at the monuments, but hey guys, you should be so proud of yourselves, you´re doing great! Hope you can ride the Giro this year! all the best!
