Finally got around to installing a riser stem and dropper. Still dialing in the gearing. 30/17 is perfect for a most climbs near me, but too easy for anything in the valley. Just got a few extra chainrings and cogs to play with for gearing in the future.

Thinking of riding this on singletrack or gravel or? For a reference point I usually run 32/20 on my mtb and the one time I setup my old drop bar mtb SS for a local gravel race I ran 38/18. It was pretty flat and the few punchy hills were killer, but also it was a gear I could keep a decent speed up on the flats with. I feel like 30/17 would be hard to keep speed going on gravel unless you’re constantly climbing or descending and never pedaling in the flats.Â
