I was so excited for my new Endurace CF 7 but couldn’t finish building it because they didn’t include the screw to mount the saddle to the bike… And on top of that, the rear wheel disc brake was bent so bad, the wheel can’t spin between the brake calipers.. So disappointing after saving up for months to buy my first road bike.. Should I just return it and buy a Cannondale instead? Or give Canyon another chance?

  1. I’d call Canyon and let them know. They have a good return/replacement policy.

Edit: Was the box damaged? It took a heck of a hit if the rotor was bent like that.

  2. Call Canyon support. They’ll most likely refund you to get the rotor fixed in a bike shop and send you the missing parts.

  3. Check the box and packing it was delivered in. The seat post bolt could have easy vibrated loose and fell out in packing.

As for the brake rotor. Can’t tell from the pic if its bent. But the caliper is mount can be adjusted.

Good luck. Hope its something simple.

Yes, go to a local Bike Shop buy a Cannondale buy a giant buy a trek buy something that they sell. It won’t have any problems. They’ll have good customer service and you won’t have these types of issues. Otherwise they’ll just put brand new stuff on it right then in there to make it work that’s what a local Bike Shop is good about taking care of a customer.

  5. If you’re in the US, and you have an REI close, take it there. They’re an authorized Canyon service center now.

  6. The brake rotor is at best an easy fix, and at worst a $50 part which I’m sure Canyon will take care of. They get bent sometimes. I’ve straightened rotors as bad as this one before.

Return it. Youre looking at weeks to months of emails with customer service.

I had some similar issues and had the hike warrantees out after months
