Recently put together my first custom build and went on a few wet weather rides. Just noticed today that various bolts on the bike were showing surface rust. While not an issue at all functionally, how have people prevented this from happening and could it be a long term issue?
Side note, after wet rides I always wide down the bike and store it indoors to dry out, so not sure why this has happened

drip some tri-flow or other oil into them
The chrome or nickel plating has been removed by the tool (after repeated screwing and unscrewing I’m assuming).
Get some stainless chainring bolts.
leave it! the color matches nicely with that tange prestige decal.
