Sacrificed my previous MTB to build up this beautiful giant frame I got last year in a pretty rough condition for 30€. Took me a while to find the time to get it cleaned and polished. Yesterday I couldn’t resist and started throwing on the first parts. Some parts are still missing, which I have to clean or buy. It will get some XT M739 V-Brakes and a Nitto M-18 Frontrack (the struts it came with where too short for my frame, so I have to get some longer ones somewhere). Still looking for some grips, so if you have a recommendation, hit me up please! Was thinking about some simple oury grips but they are all out of stock…

Hope to get this beauty ready for its first ride within the next two weeks!

The XT M739 is an excellent choice! I’m not sure how high your seat post is, but SR Laprade fluted seat post is another excellent vintage to piece to add to awesome build. You can find them on eBay starting $20 going up. Or search your local used bike shop(co-op) and get it dirt cheap or FBMP. Only drawback is they make them short. The build is rad so far and have fun on the restoration.
