Normally, when these guns come out of the factory, they have generic molds from the manufacturing process. All you have to do is fire them more than 100 times, and the ejector will shape itself correctly. This is something that needs to be broken in. In the meantime, you could slightly move the slide to the right to help it fit into the hole properly.
Had this exact problem with my 19, thought it was nothing but now I wonder if it hand anything to do with my damn gun exploding in my hand 4 days ago from a case rupture
Im pretty certain this can happen to just about any Glock if you don’t have the slide 100% straight. Just give it a wiggle and be careful you’ll be fine. This happens to me semi-regularly. Forcing it will break shit every single time.

My 19x does the same thing. The first time I broke it down it was pissing me off trying to get it back on none of my other Glocks ever did that
Its cause the ejector for a 9mm is different than 40 and 45
My 17 is thesame way
Mines having the exact same problem it caused some backplate damage, does your function fine?
So my G45 was normal. After installing a JG trigger it does this now. I just carefully guide it on.
G I thought I was tripping, I scratched my custom back plate struggling with this same shit! SMH
