Hi all, just wondering if this is good for a beginner, i know cult is a good brand and it’s the “gateway”. Does anyone know what year this is? how much is chromoly? Any issues worth checking (bearings?) and just whether it is enough for a beginner.
There is no description, which i know is a red flag and the owner just says “full gateway build”.
It is quite the journey so i’d rather check here before buying a nail aha.

There’s not much chromoly on these. Just the front triangle. The fork I’m pretty sure is all hi ten. So if your little kid size wouldn’t be so bad. But adult size not gonna last long especially the fork. Top tube is pretty small. These are fine for a kid to ride
Looks like there’s quite a bit of surface rust on the frame. While this might not strictly be a problem, it indicates that the bike may not have been particularly well looked after.
