Looking at these 2 bikes right now, my preference is mainly for a bike that I can use as an all around bike. I’m still fairly new to cycling, so I want something that can last me a while, my routes have decent hills and inclines so I would like a bike that’s comfortable but still responsive. Of these 2 which do you think is a better buy

  1. I’d say if you’re new to cycling these will be quite aggressive and uncomfortable. Not great for all around. I’d look into a light touring bike or gravel with a more relaxed geometry.

Neither of those bikes come to mind when I think “comfortable.”

When I think of comfort, I think of an endurance bike. Tarmac is a race bike. think the Polygon is as well.

If I were going to spend 5k on a bike, I’d go to Ari Bikes and get an Empire. For 4k you can get the same basic specs in a SRAM Force with a power meter. Ari Empire SL Pro is currently $3,999.00. And then you can even upgrade to Zipp 303 carbon wheels and still be right under 5k.
