Hey hey,
so I want to buy one of these bikes but I´m unsure about a couple of things. A few friends of mine have the ST2 and are very happy with it. But I would like a bike that comes withe the parts I like (i.e. hyrdraulic brakes, more points to attach bags), so I´m leaning to the AL1 or AL1 x2 Gravel Plus.
But TBH I´m not a bike nerd (yet) and unsure what actually are the differences between the AL1 bikes. There is a good deal on the x2 at the moment (1250€) and the AL1 (1500).
I think the frame geomotry ist different but is that it? I´d technically like to have a steel frame but I´m pretty sure for my use al will be just fine (multi day bikepacking trips, no gnarly downhill). Also some of the bikes in the Ruut series have "Gravel Plus" in their name, what does it mean exactly? I read somewhere, it means the bike can fit wider tireds, but unsure if that´s all. The 2x Gravel Plus seems like a really good deal and I´m leaning towards here but also feeling a little bit like I could be missing something.
Thanks!

All bikes come with older drivetrains, for backpacking 2x will give you easier easiest gear and shimano brakes do not need to be blead as often as sram’s. Frames for al bikes are the same. If you look at [rondo.cc](http://rondo.cc) page you can see that there are no “gravel plus” models, it’s something the shop came up with. And it’s previous gen frame.
