Randonneur from Japan here. This is my Giant TCR loaded up for a 1300km brevet through Hokkaido. Triple front lights for the night stages, Campagnolo wheels, Apidura saddle bag, and a couple of bags I made myself — the frame bag and the under-BB bag. Travel light, ride far.
Hokkaido is incredible for long-distance riding — endless roads, almost no traffic, and convenience stores everywhere for resupply.

havent done anything that extreme but my distance setup is a surly disc trucker, topeak saddle bag. atwater frame, stem, and top tube bags
