  1. From the Decathlon Shop: "VAN RYSEL Rennrad Race RCR-F Pro CF Shimano Dura Ace Di2 Schwarz. Das Rennrad RCR-F wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit den Profifahrern von Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale und Swiss Side im Windkanal entwickelt und getestet. Es ist für die schnellsten Fahrradkuriere gemacht." Made for the fastest messengers? But I'm not a messenger; can't buy and ride it? Second: Elektronische Unterstützung: Ohne elektronische Unterstützung … Does the bike comes incl. Dura Ace Di2 ? So it should have a recharger… and the weight: 7.5 or 8.2? Can't find any obligatory infos!

  2. Good to mention that compared Canyon CF SLX has cheaper frameset and this one Van Rysel with 105 groupset has top RCR-F Pro like models priced x2, that’s the major difference between them.

  3. Hi there, thanks for the videos. Not true aero bikes are a niche product for pros mostly. Any enthusiastic amateur riding in rolling hills, meaning constant and mostly short up and downs, is a lot faster in aero bikes, recurrently reaching speeds well above 45kmh in the downhills which then is carried into the next uphill. Also, in longish rides for amateurs, say granfondos and centuries, aero bikes save energy and make you faster as long as you are not in the Alps, Pyrenees, etc. This is a lot more than a niche, it may even be the majority of enthusiast weekend warriors..

  4. Assumes & speaks for retailers selling it – without homework as to their sales protocols to ensure best set up/ fit

Is too thick to realise every other road aero bike on the market also comes 52/36 eg aeroad, s5 & y1rs to name but a few.

Lazy journalism at worst , misinformed at best.

  5. Congrats for your job and videos in general which are very well done. I tested two bikes from VR trade mark. The RCR with SRAM rival Axs (Not the RCR pro version) and the RCR-F equiped with Ultegra and Hadron Classic wheels. What I can say is that RCR rival is not a bike for everyone and is non convenient for a "sunday cyclist". It is done for a young racer who is not very interesting in having a confortable bike and who is only looking for a pure perfomance bike with a very reasonable price (3599 euros in France ; moreover Rival derailleurs does the job correctly even a lack of reactivity sometime but it is not prohibitive). I don't know if it is due to the wheels Zipp 303 or the frame set (RCR and not RCR pro) but this bike is not very confortable and I would say it is less confortable than my Time ZXRS.
I tested the RCR-F two weeks after and what I can say is that RCR-F is really more confortable compared to RCR (and compared with my ZXRS equiped with Asterion E one 30 tubeless wheels) whereas RCR-F is an aero bike with so strongest frame !
When I tested the bike it was not on full gaz mode since it was a discovery and a first ride with it (moreover on roads I have had never ride before) and whereas the positive gain meters was 630 meters on a total distance of 62 km, average speed was almost 33 km/h for a ride of 62 km. Bike is top on flat roads and excellent also on "false flat" (don't know if it is the good word in english) and it is easier to manage downhill up to… 7%. Upper 7% it becomes a little bit more tricky since the frame is very stiffer and bike is a little bit heavier than a "normal bike" !
The cockpit is incredible and the steering is very accurate (because very massive ?!).
Finally, wheels are very good (wheels were not in tubeless) even if they are a little bit heavy.
If I changed bike, I would be very interesting by the Aero RCR-F since I live just near Nantes (France).

  6. Head tube saves a whopping 4 watts! That equates the same amount of force needed to stir your cup of tea. So leave the sugar out and loose a kilo and go just a äs fast on that steel framed bike you grandfather used.

  7. Just out of curiosity riding over 35 kph when the road goes down hill (even if only at 1-2%) doesn't count as going over 35 does it? 🤣🙃 (but as it's no for number one and yeas for number three (and I think the RCR standart looks better)) this one is probably not for me… But I'll continue watching anyway…

  8. with a 54×11 you start spinning out at like 70kph. I think the people who still need to pedal at those speeds regularly can fit their own chain rings

  9. I recently bought the rcr f grey but it got badly scratched when the decathlon mechanic installed it so they requested a replace. I also noticed that the top tube has a light transparent varnish showing the random carbon fiber pattern, is this normal? is the one that you reviewed the same? I can't tell from the pictures that I find online. thanks
