Unfortunately did not realize the protection rubber on a portion of my bike rack had popped off until I drove across town with bike and discovered this upon arrival. Still kicking myself for it. 2021 Trek Domane SL7 that I bought used last month. Suggestions for minimizing the appearance of this scratch (e.g., matching Trek sticker as an overlay, paint, wrap, etc.). Appreciate any tips!

Silver sharpie. It won’t be the world’s best fix, but it will be quick and easy and should help hide it a fair bit.

Nothing, really. Maybe silver enamel paint, but it won’t match…it’ll just stand out in a different way. These things will always happen, eventually, if you own the bike long enough and actually put some miles on it. As long as it’s just cosmetic, ignore it and ride on.

I’d use a small piece of HVAC tape (silver, shiny). From a distance you probably won’t see it at all. But the scratch wouldn’t bother me, nor would I care if it bothered anyone else. Just saying. To each his/her own.

I’m a big fan of using nail polish on bikes to hide blemishes and prevent rust.
