I’d go for the first one. Was close to top of the line when it came out. Better forks, better saddle, better derailleur
Spend the $100 you saved on a full service and the bike will last you a long long time
Not just a full service, but some lights also.
Finally its up to you.you ride a lot, i think the best is, you invest more because i am sure you have then more fun.
They appear to be two different sized bikes. The Specialized is for someone that is 6’/182cm-6’2”/188cm. The Marin looks like it is for someone this is 5’9”/175cm.
Buy the one that fits you better. Those bikes are two very different sizes.
