A major incident has closed the M4 in both directions between Junction 12 (Reading/Theale) and Junction 13 (Chieveley/Newbury) in Berkshire following a serious collision involving a vehicle that crossed the central reservation.
Emergency services, including Thames Valley Police and National Highways Traffic Officers, are on the scene. Expect long delays in both directions.

• Westbound – Follow the Hollow Square symbol: Exit at J12 → A4 to Newbury → A339 → A34 → Rejoin M4 at J13
• Eastbound – Follow the Hollow Circle symbol: Exit at J13 → A34 → A339 → A4 to Reading → Rejoin M4 at J12
