I ordered one, even though there’s an XT rapid rise derailleur on eBay for a third the price.

I haven’t figured out which bike it’s going on yet

  2. Got one on my Riv but I also have like 6 other rapid rises. I don’t know if it’s worth it over just getting an old rapid rise. The spring tension is pretty strong on it, which means you need to tighten your friction shifter a little tighter to avoid ghost shifting. But it’s not as strong a clutched derailleur.

didn’t Rapid rise derailleurs fail as a concept before? Do they work better with friction than indexed?

  4. Is the stated max capacity accurate, or is it a conservative number like Shimano would give?

  5. I support grant fulfilling all of his dreams but I would never, in a hundred years, buy this. I’d rather buy an Alivio
