Its a pretty decent deal, but i would look for something with aero bars for a triathlon. They are usually around the same price range from what ive seen on fb marketplace.
Have you checked the sizing? This looks like a pretty small frame, and it’s the most important thing to get right. Road bikes use a different sizing system to hybrids/mountain bikes.
It’s an older Allez, in fairness a lot of people prefer the geometry of the older ones for racing/tris. I think that’s maybe Sora 3500? So the version before the previous generation, does the job but pretty entry level and not super desirable. I think I agree with the other user, $300.
