We all make mistakes and that’s why we wear helmets and other protection. Move on and get better. I’ve had dumber crashes myself.

  2. You’re riding a mtb in a skate/ bike park… going to need higher psi. Bmx bikes have higher pressure tires than mtb. Mtb use lower pressures to provide a wider footprint on loose dirt. Your tire rolled

  3. These skate park jumps can be very slippery when wet. You did slide a bit on it when you landed and got traction again when you hit the asphalt. Your front tire always needs to be straight and point to where you will be going, the back isn’t as important. Turning your bars was what caused the crash, since you didn’t turn them back straight again. I think you probably need to work a bit on your technical part of the jump. You wrote that you switched from hard tail to full squish. With the rear shock you can get more kick if you don’t press into the ramp. It’s the same technique with the hard tail, but not doing it isn’t as bad as it is with the rear suspension, since it will work like a spring. You often read stand up to the jump, which basically just explains that you need to push against the ramp while going up, to keep force against it to not get kicked.

  4. Your headset wasn’t right, the bars went crooked off the lip AND you still had your bars turned right as you front wheel touched down so it was a double whammy.

It was mostly negligence, ride your bike normally until you know how it behaves before hacking a mountain bike off a bmx jump.

You have. About a 10° discrepancy between the bars and wheel

Why did you twist your bars mid air? Where you pulling back on the bars to try and get more height? If so then perhaps you need to do some exercise to make sure your arm strength is balanced or just not pull on the bars.

  6. Not to be this guy but riding an mtb at a skate park is the wrong bike for the terrain, you also turned your handlebars back too late and your headset didn’t look fully tight on

  7. See what happened here is you zigged when you should have not worn fingerless gloves and ridden your mountain bike on the slickest metal skatepark ramps ever known to mankind while doing a turnbar. Not but hope you’re good though. Practice on a dirt kicker. Ride loose.
