  1. Manufactures usually don’t drop their prices. Whereas resellers usually have room to drop the prices.

    So, it’s interesting. According to the wayback machine, the only earlier record of this bike on the Cannondale site was on May 8, 2023. At that time, they showed the same pricing, $5,900 crossed off to $4,000. Do whatever math you want on that.

    My guess is REI is trying to unload a discontinued bike before the end of the year. Sign up for a membership, and get an additional, and awsome, one year warrantee while you’re at it.

    Sometimes, you gotta love REI.
