Trying to install the RCS stem on my Emonda ALR 5, I bought the parts from the manual, did I purchase the wrong split ring? I am using the bearings that came with the frame as well. The split ring and bearing cover can’t go down any further.

That’s normal. They do have a black bearing that makes it look better if you want.
