Bought 26” studded tires and they are so stiff they feel like they will never fit, Tried for like an hour but they wont fit. Rim is also 26”
Is it possible that the tire has shrunk since they are old & unused?
Never before had a tire be this hard to put on, I have put on 100+ tires and always got them on even very stiff ones 🤔

Yes, both your tire and rim are 26″, but which version of 26″? There are five different versoins of 26″ tires and rims. The most common modern version is ISO 559 (559mm diameter); are both tire and rim 559 ISO?
Please tell the exact dimension printed on the old tire and on the new tire.
First of all make sure that your new tire has the same diameter as the old tire. If so, follow the instructions in [this video](https://youtu.be/eqR6nlZNeU8?si=5T80H2Eg2dVagUH1) and it should solve your problems.
