The "only" difference I see is that the Rockhopper has air fork, most of other components are the same

Suspension is one of the most expensive and important aspects on a bike. I wouldn’t touch a budget spring fork with a barge pole these days. Specialized for the win.
But to be honest, for the same money you could pick up a 2nd hand bike a couple of years old with much better componentry (or even a full sus like a Calibre Bossnut) – the value of a brand new bike really isn’t that obvious these days.
