Quick question. I purchased as used 2022 Kink Launch, and Im looking to add front brakes. Will I need to get a different front fork set up to do this? I dont see mounts on this one. Thank you for the info
You will, I believe S&M sells Pitchforks with brake mounts. I think Odyssey may as well?

That fork has a hole for installing a sidepull caliper. People were able to make them work back in the 80s, but they took pretty much constant work. Odyssey 1999 kit is your best bet since they really aren’t made anymore otherwise.
You can get a fork with mounts for a u-brake. Odyssey makes them, as does S&M. U-brakes are the ones most BMX riders use if they’re using them these days.
I kinda wish BMX would embrace hydraulic disk brakes like mountain bikes, or hydraulic rim brakes like the Magura brakes that trials riders use.
