In the US, cannabis is about to be reduced from a schedule I drug along with heroin to schedule II like meth. Either a I or II schedule is ridiculous. Marijuana has been proven to have many useful medical properties. It’s probably the most benign of any recreational drug, certainly more so than alcohol, and should be legalized and controlled like alcohol. Now it seems that the UK is moving in the wrong direction. Legalizing marijuana would greatly reduce the black market and prevent criminalization of young people. Unfortunately, it’s a major economic support of jails, prisons, bail bond agencies, lawyers, courts, etc. The police should be relieved of concern for marijuana and be able to focus on more serious drugs and crime.

Weirdest police chase in history: 1995, San Diego, CA USA. Man stole a 57 ton M60A3 Patton tank from an unsecured CA National Guard armory. He went on a 25 minute rampage, destroyed 40 cars, utility poles, fire hydrants, etc.
Usual police measures were ineffective.
The man got onto the freeway and managed to get the tank stuck on the center median. He was making progress on freeing the tank to continue his life threatening reign of terror, so the police had to take drastic action. An officer climbed onto the tank and used bolt cutters to open the hatch. Gun drawn, staring the tank thief in the face, he ordered the man to surrender, He continued to try to free the tank. The police officer shot him dead.

The motorcyclist is strong where you, Mr Policemen, are criminally physically unfit and weak. The least you can do is improve your fitness then perhaps you and your colleagues will not be beaten up, and god forbid, to protect the innocent citizens of Luton or, wherever you hail from.

The problem unfortunately has arisen because the public have no faith, respect or trust in the police service. It is under funded, understaffed, ill equipped, officers are underpaid for what they do, the days of the 6’ tall officer have gone but importantly they are scrutinised constantly. The days of exercising discretion have long gone, they are criticised, abused and prevented from providing a real service.
Disappointing but not surprising the public did nothing to assist.
This was obviously filmed in the days when we had mobile police patrols – not PCSOs driving a car from A to B
