Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to overhaul an Nervar single-speed freewheel that has started making a nasty cracking/crunching noise.
I’ve got it off the hub, but I’m stuck on the disassembly. It has an 8-notch lockring on the front and two small holes/dimples on the back plate.
I’m trying to get the back plate off with a center punch (don’t have the correct tool) to access the pawls and bearings, but it won't budge.
I was under the impression it was reverse threaded?

Never tried disassembling a freewheel, but you can get a new bmx freewheel for a few bucks assuming it’s not French threaded…
