Hey xbikers I just picked up this bike and I am trying to learn about it, but all I can find out there is info on the “richter 8.0.” This doesn’t say 8.0 on it anywhere, and the decals are so high on the downtube that I don’t think it ever did.
I even found a YouTube video with someone checking out a bike like this, same color, same components, but it said 8.0 and so I’m kind of thrown for a loop here.
I’m hoping someone knows about it? Also any recommendations for flashy tires to go on here? Other than that I think I’m gonna pretty much leave this bike as is, at least until I notice that it feels uncomfortable.

Awesome! I used to think those rubber STI covers were the coolest thing in the world. Still up there.
The closest I can find is a [German catalogue from 1992](https://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/d/10505-2/1992.pdf), and to my knowledge 92 was the last year for rear u-brakes. The fork doesn’t look original. The only other example in that color I could find was [a classified listing](https://www.bttbike.com/venta/876506-richter-gt) from a few years ago
